Founder Eric Stern has been obsessed with tamarind for over 20 years. Soon after his first sip of Agua de Tamarindo (Tamarind Water) at a local Mexican Restaurant, he could be found enjoying the deliciously sticky, sweet, and sour pulp right from the pod. However, he couldn’t enjoy any of the tamarind products on the market, because they are typically filled with sugar, with some having no fruit at all (only artificial tamarind flavor).
A self-proclaimed foodie, who has been a low carb dieter most of his adult life, Eric wanted to make a delicious tamarind fruit drink with no added sugar, so he could enjoy it without feeling like he was breaking his diet with every sip. Now even people watching their calories can enjoy the taste of this amazing superfruit.
